Invitation of teaching staff members from partner countries outside EU - KA171

The Erasmus+ Programme KA171 supports teaching staff of partner institutions located in partner countries (non-EU) with mobility grants for teaching/training periods in Padua, provided that an inter-institutional agreement is in place between the institution and the University of Padua for the relevant year, and by prior invitation of a teaching staff member of the University of Padua.

Who can participate: teaching staff of partner country universities

Duration of the mobility: According to the Erasmus Guide, there is a minimum 5 days and a maximum of 60 days, excluding travel time. However the call is limited to a maximum period of 14 days including travel days. During this time, there is a minimum of 8 hours of teaching per week (or any shorter period of stay). If the teaching activity is combined with a training activity during a single period abroad, the minimum number of hours of teaching per week  is reduced to 4 hours.

Grant: according to the tables of the Programme. It varies according to the travel distance between the University of Padua and the sending institution, and the duration of the stay.

Health Insurance Coverage: in the case of mobility from non-EU countries, the Participant who is not an EU citizen is required to take out private health insurance for the trip abroad that meets the minimum requirements and limits of liability (currently 30,000 euro) provided for the issuance of a Schengen visa. In the event that the participant believes that this coverage may not be sufficient, he or she can take out supplementary private policy for repatriation and/or hospitalisation.

How to apply: the inviting teaching staff member of the University of Padua must apply online . The procedure is accessible via login (SingleSignOn username and password - the same as for email). All mandatory fields must be filled in and the required files must be attached.

Selection: the candidates will be selected by a dedicated committee nominated by the rector, based on the selection criteria outlined in the call.

Deadline for applications: Each calendar year there is one call for applications published, with two deadlines available for submission (usually in March and October) to apply for grants concerning the three current financial agreements.

Deadline for mobility: October 31 of the calendar year following the publication of the call (for example, for the Call published in March 2025 the deadline is set at October 31, 2026)
