The internship, or training and orientation internship, is a听training period aimed at听students听during the course of study (curricular internship) and听to those who have obtained the degree, within 12 months听of obtaining the title (extracurricular internship) at companies, public bodies and professionals. It can be compulsorily included in the regulation of the degree course, or it can be done voluntarily.

The internship can have a maximum duration of听12 months听for students and听6听for recent graduates

An internship involves three subjects: the student听or听the graduated, the听promoter听(the University of Padua) and听the听host, ie the company or the institution. The figure of the听university tutor, professors of the University, and the figure of the听company tutor听(not necessarily coinciding with the legal representative), who guide and follow the听intern听in听carrying out the expected task.
